Pin Chasers engaged the Brand NV team to help them build awareness and create exciting promotions to mark its 60th anniversary. A critical part of our annual plan to launch this initiative was writing and distributing a press release to garner non-paid media attention and to further help tell our story.
At the beginning of our engagement, Brand NV’s principal, Nicole, conducted and recorded multiple face-to-face interviews with key figures in the bowling center’s 60-year history. To prepare this press release, Brand NV’s Media Relations guru, Barbara, listened to all the recorded interviews and also conducted her own interview of Pin Chaser’s current owner, Anthony Perrone. This enabled her to identify the important elements in the brand’s story to write a press release that would get reporters attention.
After distributing the press release to our media contacts and following up tenaciously, the Tampa Bay Times showed interest. Paul Guzzo, who regularly writes about Tampa Bay’s History, requested an interview with our client. We arranged for the meeting to take place and provided all requested high-resolution vintage images, like the one pictured below which was selected for publishing. About a week later, this wonderful piece was published in the Tampa Bay Times in print and online: Tampa’s Pin Chasers celebrates its 60th anniversary
